JSTOR on YouTube has dozens of videos to help with various features of JSTOR.
Admins and those at your institution with permissions to access Collection Loader will only see data displayed on the Collections Usage Dashboard if their instituton is subscribed to JSTOR Stewardship Services and have collections published on JSTOR. If this is the case, or if you are interested in subscribing, please reach out to support@jstor.org, and we will be happy to help. Please refer to our support page on the Collections Usage Dashboard for more information.
With Artstor now on JSTOR, its usage will be included in Counter reports for the JSTOR platform. Items in the Artstor collection count as multimedia and Artstor usage will show up in the IR_M1 report along with other multimedia content, such as primary source material on JSTOR. Currently, Artstor Collection reports are the best way to single out Artstor usage on the JSTOR platform. The Artstor Collection reports are not COUNTER-compliant, but they are based on COUNTER metrics and follow the same standard definitions for all data types and metrics. For more information please see our pages on Usage Reports Overview: COUNTER 5 and Usage Reports for Artstor.
Yes, your account owner can provide you with collection-specific usage reports upon request. These reports contain the same data as the COUNTER report but are not considered COUNTER-compliant, as it is a non-standard format.
As long as your institution participates in DDA, once you have set up Alma Auto-Holdings in the JSTOR Admin portal, under the Alma Linking tab, your KBART files for books, which include your DDA titles, will be automatically retreived from JSTOR into Alma. For more information on setting up Alma Auto-Holdings, please see our support page, JSTOR & Clarivate Discovery Services, or Ex Libris' support page, Upload Electronic Book Holdings from JSTOR.
You will use the same credentials as before, but will need to use the new request URL, https://www-jstor-org.bibliotheek.ehb.be/sushi/r51/. You may be required to include the JSTOR API endpoints when setting up SUSHI harvesting as well. Each endpoint has been updated to reflect COUNTER 5.1, and can be found on our support page, Usage Reports: SUSHI Report Harvesting.
An investigation occurs when someone accesses the content of an item or information describing that item, like viewing an image, a book's table of contents, an abstract, or an article preview. A request occurs when someone requests the full content of an item, and can take the form of viewing and downloading content. This may be someone viewing and downloading an image or a comparison of images, a PDF, a book chapter, book EPUB, and an article page. Every interaction with a piece of content on the platform is an investigation, and some interactions with content are counted both as investigations and requests. You can read more about report metrics in the overview of COUNTER 5.1 on our support site, or in COUNTER's guide to Release 5.1.
