A: The records on JSTOR will display in alphabetical order by title. JSTOR users can change the order by selecting the "Sort by" dropdown box and reorder the items using the given options.
A: The only required field is filename, but we do recommend that you also include the following: Title, Creator, Subject, Description, Date, and Location. For more information, including a downloadable metadata template, please see Metadata fields [Tier 1].
Yes, to add items to a collection, create and upload a new spreadsheet. The spreadsheet can be used for multiple records that you would like to add in bulk. For more information, please see Adding items to a collection.
A: We do not recommend deleting your collection to avoid broken links if you have already published and shared your collection. One workaround suggestion would be to delete the old records and create new records in your collection with the updated metadata.
A: If you are working with a CSV file, save as a UTF-8 file to ensure special characters display correctly.
A: The Tier 1 tool does not allow for hidden fields. All fields with data will be visible when published.
A: Stewardship Tier 1 accepts a variety of image, document, video, and audio files. For more information, see Supported file types and sizes [Tier 1].
